What type of class is an old bones fitness circuit?

Old Bones offers functional fitness circuits that promote joint health, flexibility, mobility and independence. A circuit is comprised of a set of poses or movements repeated for a set amount of time. There are approximately 12 different circuits, keeping it interesting and ensuring a total body focus!

 

how long are the classes?

Classes are 30 minutes in length. Please arrive a few minutes early to grab a bottle of water (always FREE!) and set up your mat. First timers should arrive 15 minutes early for payment and waiver signing.

Before class is a great time to meet William and discuss any limitations you may have.

 

Am I ready for an Old Bones Fitness Class?

Always check with your physician before starting any fitness routines. Classes are considered light to moderate in activity level. Movements can be altered to accommodate the individual.

 

What is the difference between the circuits?

Chair circuit circuits are for clients whose mobility is more limited; those who rely on cases, walkers or wheelchairs will benefit most from this class! A majority of the class is seated for maximum stability. Any pose or movement outside of the chair is done holding onto the chair.

DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION?

Nope! We are first come first serve with a generous studio space!

WHAT HAPPENS IF CLASS IS CANCELED?

On very rare occasions, class may be canceled. We encourage all clients to follow Old Bones Fitness Studio on Facebook (link up top) for daily communication on schedules, new class offerings, payment reminders, cancellations and all Old Bones news!

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO CLASS?

For the ball circuits, you’ll need to bring an exercise or yoga mat which you can store at the studio!

No special equipment is required for chair circuits.

 

IS THERE MUSIC?

We play a mix of 50’s, 60’s and 70’s tunes!

 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Whatever makes you comfortable and allows for a range of movement! Some clients wear jeans and sneakers, some are more comfortable is sweat pants, it’s really up to you!

 

ARE WHEELCHAIRS WELCOME? IS THE SPACE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Yes! Clients who rely on wheelchairs are most welcome! We are equipped with a portable ramp for easy access to the ground floor studio space.

 

DO YOU ALLOW DROP-INS?

Yes! Drop-in rates are listing on our ‘Schedule + Pricing’ page. First class for brand new clients is always FREE!

 

DO YOU PARTNER WITH SILVER SNEAKERS?

Not at this time.

 

CAN MEMBERSHIPS BE SHARED?

Unfortunately, no. All memberships are for single client use.
